Monster Breeding
Monster breeding only can happen under the right conditions. Monsters must be adults (or advanced), and breeding season must be open. When it is open, PieBob will POST it is and how many spots are open.
Monsters have 1-2 eggs normally, without any items used. The common rated monsters are more likely to have two eggs than uncommon or rare monsters. Items may be used to get more eggs in a batch, or force a monster to be ready to breed outside of breeding season. Monster breeding colors are based on the parents colors, and the outcome can be similar to either parent or a new mix of their colors in some way. Colors work on the 'PieBob' system, not the PI system XD.

Each male can only breed with one female a season, unless item is used.
A female must skip seasons (every other one she can have an egg batch)

Eggies
The mommy monster will get to keep her egg (the owner of the female monster). You can tell what type of monster it is going to hatch into by the type of egg she has. A mommy monster can have eggs that are her species, the father's species, or hybrid eggs, which are the special outcome of monster species mixing. You can't tell what gender an egg is until it hatches, and you won't know any of it's special genetics until then as well. The eggs DO reflect the general color the monster will hatch into though! If the owner of a male would like to have a baby, they must work out a deal of some kind with a female owner.

Hybrid Monsters
Breeding two different species of monster together can possibly create hybrid monsters! These new monsters will belong to the hybrid type, and have hybrid symbols on their certificate reflecting the types they are from. Hybrids will display traits from both types of monster it originates from. Hybrids are breedable, and if bred to other hybrids, have a very VERY small chance of creating double hybrids. Monsters of the same species bred together will have the same kind of baby always. Two different types have about a 25% chance of hybrid offspring when bred together. (The more eggs in a batch, the more likely to have a hybrid show up!)

Mutations and the 100 factor
In a normal breeding, genes/mutations are passed down visibly only if both parents carry or display the gene. (Kind of like the ponies of PI) For instance, if the mom and dad both have double horns, the babies would most likely have double horns.
If the mom CARRIED double horns, and the dad had them, then some babies might HAVE the double horns, and the rest would carry that mutation.
With a monster that has a 100 factor, it gurantees the offspring will visibly show the mutation, even if the mate does not have that mutation at all. You can tell if your monster has a 100 factor mutation if there is a 100 after that mutation on it's certificate. It is hard to find this sort of mutation, so they are pretty rare. To see an example, visit my resident monsters. Rissa is a curly hair 100! That means every baby she has will have curly hair.

Sometimes mutations turn up at random, and that means that both parents are hidden carriers of that mutation. You can have your monster's certificate altered to say they carry that mutation if you like.

Breeding Items
The Sales page hosts a small Monster Shop. Here items can be purchased to modify your monster's appearance and breeding. All the items are one time use only, and can only be purchased when they are in stock. Breeding items should only be used when your monster is officially signed up for a breeding spot, with the exception of the Dust Bunny item.

Cheese: Monsters like cheese. I don't know why, but... they do. Maybe because it smells funny. If you feed your FEMALE monster a piece of cheese, she will definitely have 2 eggs. If you feed a male cheese, he can breed with more than one female a season.
M's: Monsters just LOVE M&M's (they call them ems, just so you know.) This is a long standing tradition among them, and I have no rationale at all. If you feed your FEMALE a package of M's, she will have three eggs in her batch. (If you feed them to males, they just get kinda pudgy)
Blue M's: This is a special pack of candy coated chocolates. It only has blue ones in it! If you feed this too your FEMALE monster, she will have a boy egg!
Yellow M's: This bag only has yellow M's in it, which will make your female have a girl egg!
Pizza: If you feed your monster a piece of old pizza you found somewhere, they are much more likely to pass on their mutations visibly, rather than just have carriers. (Works on male and female)
GoldDust Bunny: If you give your female monster a GoldDust Bunny, it makes her ready to breed even if it is not breeding season. These special dust bunnies are very hard to get, and can be used at any time you like!
